Aikibeye from Indian State Nagaland

Aikibeye is a spicy non-vegetarian dish comprising of mustard leaf and Colocasia roots. It is cooked in very little water and salt. The gravy is generally thick which is due to the minimal use of water. The dish is best consumed with steamed rice.

Total time : 30 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • Colocasia roots - 2

  • Mustard leaves - 1/2 bunch

  • Salt - 1 tsp

Instructions:

  1. Cook the colocasia root and peel the skin

  2. Now mash it and add water and salt to it and start boiling until it turns thick

  3. Now add mustard leaves and boil until it cooked

  4. Serve hot with rice
