Alu Kangmet from Indian State Manipur

Manipur Cuisine mainly uses rice, fish, and leafy vegetables. The taste is different from other regions of India as they use various aromatic herbs and roots particular to that region.


Alu Kangmet is a potato dish made with mashed potato.


LETS GET COOKING:

Process time : 10 minutes

Total time : 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  •  Boiled & peeled potato - 2

  • Onion - 1

  • Dried red chili - 3

  • Salt - 1 tsp

  • Oil - to fry

Instructions:

  1. Deep fry the chopped onion until brown, strain and keep aside

  2. Fry dried red chili until crip and keep aside

  3. Boil and skin peel potatos and mash it with salt

  4. Now add the fried onion to the mashed potato, crush the fried red chili

  5. Mix altogether ad=nd shape into small size round

  6. Serve with rice
