Bhura Roti Ghee savory flat bread from Indian state -Haryana

Bhura Ghee Roti is a sweet, savory dish made with bhura (powdered sugar), ghee and leftover rotis. Haryanvis often indulge in this dish after a meal as dessert.


Haryanvi's diet is a vegetarian one, and they consume a lot of milk and ghee.


LETS GET COOKING:

Process time : 10 minutes




Total time : 20 minutes


Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour - 1 cup

  • Dry grated coconut - 1/4 cup

  • Jaggery syrup - 1/4 cup

  • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp

  • Ghee - 1 tsp

  • Salt - 1 tsp

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl add wheat flour, grated dry coconut, fennel seeds, ghee and salt, mis everything

  2. Now add jaggery syrup as per need, knead to form a soft dough, cover and rest for 5 minutes

  3. Take small round size dough, roll out thin

  4. Place it in hot tawa and cook on each sides

  5. Serve hot with tea
