Farsi Puri | Gujarati Crispy Snack

Farsi puri, meaning crispy puri in Gujarati, is a popular savory snack. It is traditionally made around Diwali time, however I see absolutely no reason why these can not be prepared at any time of the year. They are perfect enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee. I personally love them with a nice hot cup of masala chai (YUM!).

Farsi puri has a melt in the mouth consistency, and a tasty hint of spice coming from black peppercorns and cumin seeds. If you decide to prepare a batch, they can be stored in an airtight container for up to 15 days.

Since its a Christmas season, it will go well with this cold climate.
