Gahat ke Paranthe is healthy and nutritious paratha stuffed with horse gram. Horse gram is also callad as Gahat in hindi and kulith in Marathi. Horse gram has lot of health benefits and consists of good amount of fiber which helps with digestion and weight loss.

Gahat Ka Paratha

Ingredients:
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Horse gram - 1/4 cup
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander seed powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4
Salt - as per taste
Oil - 3 tsp
Instructions:
Wash and soak horse gram overnight, next day drain the soaked water and cook for 4 whistles, once steam is out, cool down and grind to smooth paste
To this add chili powder, coriander seed powder, turmeric powder and salt as per taste and mix well, keep aside
In a bowl, add wheat flour and salt, mix
Add required water and knead to soft dough
Take required size dough, roll out thin, keep the horse gram filling to it, seal the corners and roll out again
Cook on hot tawa on both sides by applying oil
Serve hot
