Laapsi or lapsi is an Indian sweet dish which has a lot of variants and is made using grain flour or broken wheat and ghee, along with milk, nuts, raisins and other dried fruits. Lapsi is commonly prepared during Hindu ceremonies, and is served as a religious offering to Devtas. Lapsi forms an integral part of North Indian cuisine.
The name Lapsi or Laapsi is derived from Sanskrit word Lapsikā.

Ingredients:
Broken wheat - 1 cup
Jaggery syrup - 1/2 cup
Groundnut - 1 tsp
Dry grapes - 1 tsp
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Grated coconut - 2 tsp
Water - 1 cup
Ghee - 3 tsp
Instructions:
In a pressue cooker, add ghee, groundnut, dru grapes and saute until they are brown
Add washed broken wheat and saute it, add water and cook for 2 whistle, once pressure is out mix
Now add jaggery syrup and boil for 1 minute
Finally add crushed cardamom powder and grated coconut
Serve hot
