Punugulu

Ponganalu is a easy and tasty deep fried snack recipe made with left over dosa batter, different flours, green chily, onion and curd. Serve with peanut chutney and tea/coffee. Ponganalu is a traditional evening snack prepared in Andhra Pradesh. Generally left over dosa or idli batter is used in making these ponganalu.

Process time : 10 minutes




Total time : 15 minutes


Ingredients:

  • Rice flour - 1 cup

  • Curd - 1 cup

  • Green chili chopped - 2

  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Salt - as per taste

  • Groundnut oil - to fry

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl add, rice flour, curd , chopped green chili, cumin seeds and salt as per taste

  2. Mix everything like thick batter and rest for 1 hour

  3. In a hot groundnut oil, drop the batter and deep fry

  4. Strain the punugulu once cooked

  5. Serve with chili chutney and onions
